We would encourage everyone travelling to and from the event to make use of the public transport options available and plan your journey in advance, as many travel options are pre-bookable and will sell out.

PARK & RIDE TO THE START
There is a Park & Ride option to make your journey to the start line easier. The Park & Ride is located on Rydal Showground, Ambleside, LA22 9PN. Access to Rydal Showground is via Rydal Road what3words///mysteries.restore.hazel.
Sunday 15 June: 07:30 -16:00 (Car Park opens 07:00)
The car park opens 30 minutes before the first coach. We suggest that you book the first coach at 07:30 – this will drop you off at the bus stop on Lake Road, near the start line.
Park & Ride tickets cost £16. This will be a digital ticket (PDF) sent to you by email that you must show on event day. Return coaches from the finish at Brockhole to Rydal Showground will also run every 20 minutes – pick up location is at the top of Brockhole Car Park, what3words///noting.awkward.paddocks.​

OTHER PARKING OPTIONS
Limited pay and display parking is also available at Ambleside Car Parks (45 mins walking time and 15-20 mins cycle from the site). Local charges apply. If you are planning on travelling to the event by car, in our efforts to be a little kinder to our environment, we highly recommend car sharing where possible.​​
BUS TRAVEL
​Stagecoach 599 / 555 / 505 runs from Bowness, Windermere & Ambleside every 30 minutes, these all stop right near the start line (use the Ambleside/Waterhead Pier stop). These services also stop right outside Brockhole, the finish venue. Check timetables on the website here.
FERRY TRAVEL
Use Windermere Lake Cruise shuttle services to get back to Ambleside/Waterhead from the finish at Brockhole. Find more information on their website.
CYCLING
A great option if you’re staying locally. There are limited bike stands at both the start and finish. If you do choose this option, please remember to bring a lock to secure your bike
