EVENT INFORMATION
You will find key event day information below. We also recommend that all participants read the event guide, as this has all of the information you need to plan for race day.
TRAVEL
We strongly advise that you plan your travel in advance, as many options are pre-bookable only and will sell out. You will find plenty of travel information, including parking, ferry shuttle, and bus services via the link below.
START TIME & ASSEMBLY
The race begins at 8:30am. Please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early and make your way to the start area at Waterhead Car Park, Ambleside (LA22 0ES). You will have received your race pack in advance, so there’s no need to register on the day.
Follow the signage to the assembly area adjacent to the carriageway. Runners will be moved onto the road shortly before the start.

BAG DROP
A bag drop service will be available at the start line. All bags will be taken to the finish area at Brockhole ready for you to pick up after the race. Bags will be kept outside, so please make sure yours is weatherproof. We also suggest not packing any valuables, as we can’t guarantee their safety.
Please ensure you fill in and attach your baggage label to your bag before dropping this off. This will be checked in correspondence with your race number when you are collecting your bag from the finish.
INFORMATION POINT
An Information Point will be available at the start for any last-minute queries, anyone who hasn't received their race number, or race pack collection for anyone who enters after the cut-off date. Look out for the marquee, which will be open from 7.30am.

THE COURSE
There will be 7 drinks stations along the course, each well-stocked to keep you hydrated. Water will be available in cups, as part of our efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainability. If you prefer to drink on the go or need more fluids, we recommend bringing your own bottle, cup or hydration vest – you’re welcome to refill these at any of the drink stations.
Our hydration partner, Voom Nutrition, will be offering VOOM Hydrate at all 7 stations, with VOOM Pocket Rocket energy bars offered at the 5th drinks station (located around mile 18).

All drinks stations will also have a toilet available.

EVENT VILLAGE
There will be lots to see and do for those who are running as well as anyone who is there to support. For the first time ever, we’re thrilled to team up with the Arla Great North Swim as part of SwimFest – a weekend-long celebration of sport at Brockhole packed with entertainment, activities, and fun for everyone. See the finish map below for full details on what’s available in the event village.
